Growing up, I appreciate Aussie actor Guy Pearce, who first appeared in Australian soap opera Neighbours in the mid-80s, before graduating to Hollywood, where he became a bonafide star. One of the Hollywood movies he starred in was 2000’s Memento, a neo-noir mystery psychological thriller film by Christopher Nolan. In it, Pearce plays Leonard, a guy who is tracking down the man who raped and murdered his wife. The difficulty, however, of locating his wife’s killer is compounded by the fact that Leonard suffers from a rare, untreatable form of memory loss. Although he can recall details of life before his accident, Leonard cannot remember what happened fifteen minutes ago, where he’s going, or why.
Well it turns out that in real life, Guy Pearce also seems to suffer from a form of memory loss. It appears he has no recollection of what Israel’s neighbors did to us on October 7.

Naturally, Pearce has had nothing to say about the events of October 7.
Meanwhile, Vanity Fair France has issued an apology after editing a photo of Pearce at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, in which a Palestinian flag pin he wore, is not visible. It is Pearce who should be apologizing for “editing out” the atrocities committed by Hamas on October 7, not to mention all the other atrocities committed by palestinian Arabs over the last hundred or so years.
